Welcome to little ohmies!
Little Ohmies LLC was established to provide tailored education, using both music and yoga to introduce children of Ventura County to the vastness of their imagination. No matter how old we are, Little Ohmies believes it's never too soon or too late for an inner child to play! Our teaching style is unique. We believe kids have many more answers than our adult world gives them credit for. Studies show people of all ages experience feelings up to three times faster than they form a thought, and both music and movement help us identify how we feel! Music and movement are beneficial for learning development, mental health, and physical awareness. The better children understand the way they feel and how to express themselves healthily, the more empathetic, creative, driven and authentically joyful they can become.
“I believe we all have special gifts, and know my job is giving kids the tools, knowledge, confidence and compassion necessary to find their own way.” – Elizabeth Seymour, CEO
PRIVATE MUSIC CLASSES
Little Ohmies offers private music classes to students of all ages. We provide musical instruction throughout Ventura County for the following instruments: Flute, vocals, piano, and drums.
Classes can take place in two ways:
You come to us! – Little Ohmies has an office in Camarillo, CA! Classes are only $35 per half-hour, so please send us an email and we can schedule a time to meet!
OR
We come to you! – Little Ohmies offers in-home instruction! In light of rising gas prices, we ask for $50 per half-hour, but offer to bring a variety of instruments to class! Please email us for more information!
GROUP YOGA CLASSES
Little Ohmies offers group yoga classes twice a week for children and families. Our yoga classes are designed to tell themed stories while moving our bodies to soak up bigger themes. These classes give all participants permission to come as they are, let go, and have fun!

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the beauty in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here. This is to have succeeded.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
"My son, Kai, loves to Snowboard, Skateboard, BMX, Climb impossible things, ride just about anything, jump over it, under it, and even on top of “it”..way too many times. His battle scream in TKD is a fierce “KIAI” and yet secretly…he loves to watch musicals, sing soft songs, and dreams of singing and acting, and playing musical instruments. Elizabeth is the one that helps him find his voice (Voice lessons) and his fingers (Piano) and loves every moment of his time with her. He feels empowered when he leaves his lesson, and his dreams are now goals. Elizabeth is a gifted woman that truly loves her students whom she clearly adopts as part of her family. Her smile shines as the kiddos approach her and radiate as they leave. She giggles with them and claps along with their songs, and praises them every moment she can. We feel blessed to have been adopted into her family at Ohmies.”

“Our experience with Elizabeth has been truly unique! She has a genuine love and passion to not only teach music but to instill confidence in her students. Her methodology of teaching is strength-based and she didn’t ever make my disabled son feel uncomfortable to be his true authentic self. She found a way to make everything a teaching moment that was fun and meaningful. I have seen improvements in my son’s speech, confidence, and ability to self regulate; which can all be partially attributed to Elizabeth’s natural approach of working on breathing skills through music. I can not say enough good things about her!”

“Miss Elizabeth is so good at making you feel the music, I’ve been working on Indiana Jones and she gets you to feel the adventure in the music. It's amazing. Miss Elizabeth can help you go very far with music and I know that the very first real song I played was Ode to Joy by Beethoven and I mastered that song in a month or so. Miss Elizabeth can help me go far in music and get me to feel how other artists feel when they're writing their songs. Miss Elizabeth is amazing at helping you learn and to enjoy music and I recommend all people who want to learn music should go to her.”

"My son has been taking piano lessons from Miss Elizabeth for about a year now. I love the way she has him listen to music now, no matter the genre, he listens to all the different instruments in the song. Her encouragement with piano, his basketball, and just his life in general has made a big impact on him; he genuinely looks forward to his lessons to show her how much he’s practiced, that he wrote his own song, or just to tell her about something. She’s absolutely fabulous and I recommend her for anything. She’s more than just Christian’s piano teacher, she’s family."
— Andrea T.
“Teacher Elizabeth has an amazing way of helping kids truly appreciate music and her charismatic teaching style keeps our young child interested and engaged throughout his entire lesson. Under her guidance our child has truly blossomed in his musical ability and can’t wait until his weekly lesson to learn something new. If you’re considering a music teacher, we highly recommend teacher Elizabeth! Her style, natural musicality, and depth and breadth of knowledge related to ‘all things music’ combine to make an excellent music teacher”
